Cat gym
A cat gym is an ideal way to help keep your cat active and happy. Many of these cat gyms are designed to keep your cat entertained and moving, and when they are all tired out, they can take a cat nap inside one of their hideways. Some of these gyms can be quite large and expensive, but there are some cheaper options, which I will go over below.
Keep in mind that these are basically a substitute for cat towers and scratching posts, but have more activities and such to keep your kitty busy and out of trouble. I have reviewed some of my top picks below for your convenience:
Multi Cat Jungle Gym (Sportpet) – you have a jungle gym for kids, so why not for cats? This one features an assortment of obstacles your cat has to go through, including tunnels and platforms with toys they can bat around. This is ideal for a cat owner on a budget and only runs around $30, but the tradeoff is going to be durability.
Go Pet Club “Huge” Jungle Gym (Model FC02) – this is the mother of all cat gyms. It has ladders, cubbie holes, cat scratching posts, obstacles and plenty more to keep your cat busy for hours on end. If you really love your cat and have the room, this would be the kind of gift that keeps on giving. The downside – it costs $200.
Kitty Cat Jungle Gym (Majestic Pet) – this is a medium range cats gym that has all the basic activities and can be used my multiple cats. It is made of durable materials and costs around $100.
So there you have it. A quick hit guide to cat gyms. Hopefully you can find one in your price range for your kitty. If not, you can always make your own, which I will be covering in another post in the future.
