Cat shampoo
Cat shampoo is an important part of the grooming process. However, many cat owners aren’t sure what type of cats shampoo to buy for their kitty. While there isn’t one universal answer, you must take into account your cat’s breed, skin type and the density of his or her hair. This is why certain products may be more effective on one cat, than they are on another.
If you are looking for good all around cat shampoos, I generally recommend to my readers that they use organic cat shampoos. A regular cats shampoo has harsh chemicals that aren’t good for your kitty’s skin. A few brands I really like are:
Opie and Dixie Organic Unscented Kitty Shampoo – this is a great product because it is good for you, your cat and the environment. It is made from certified organic ingredients and uses a gentle combination of herbs and natural oils to get your cat clean. Even the bottle itself is biodegradable.
Therapeutic Natural Shampoo for Cats (Shiny Paw) – this is a perfect all natural shampoo for cats with skin allergies. It doesn’t use any pesticides or dangerous chemicals that can be harmful to animals. It contains a combination of plant extracts that won’t irritate your cat’s skin.
Vermont Soap Organics Pet Shampoo – this is another certified organic cat shampoo that doesn’t use any toxic chemicals. It is hypoallergenic and best of all this company does not do any animal testing! This will also not remove any of the natural oils from your cat’s skin, which will keep his coat looking healthy and shiny.
Keep in mind that when you are selecting a natural cat shampoo, that it should be certified organic, or it can still include harmful chemicals. Just because the product claims to be natural, doesn’t mean it is.
