A cat condo comes in a variety of styles. You have simple a simple kitty condo, and then you have the expensive ones that have more levels, platforms and hideaways. Since cats like heights, the taller it is, usually the better. Of course you will want to buy one that is sturdy and safe for your cat, however.
If you simply walk into your local pet store, you will notice there are a number of kitty condos and trees to choose from. Which is why I have recommended a few below from each price category from inexpensive to mid range and high end cat condos.
Cat Craft 1 Story Condo Tower – this is a simple model that includes a bottom cubbie hole where your cat can sleep and relax. The first story is simply a platform where he can lounge around or play with the spring toy attached to the platform. This is about as bare bones as you will find and runs about $30.
Armarkat Cat Tree (Model B5301) – here is a mid range cat tree that comes with a number of different levels and hideaways for your cat. I this made of faux fleece, which is a very durable material which holds up well to scratching and regular wear and tear. I’ve seen this run as low as $65 around town.
Armarkat Classic Cat Tree – this is an upgrade from their model above. It includes several extra levels and cub holes for your cat. It is ideal for a household that has multiple cats. It sells for about $100.
Another thing to consider is buying all natural cat trees and condos. These usually have to be bought from catalogs or they can be found online. They are made from natural woods, glues and fibers, making them a great all natural alternative.
